Controlled alternate root-splitting irrigation
When the technology was originally proposed, on the one hand, some roots were located in the dry area of soil (dry area), crops were subjected to water stress, and a large amount of abscisic acid was formed in roots, which was transported to leaves, stomatal opening was reduced, and transpiration water consumption was reduced; on the other hand, some roots were located in the irrigated area (wet area), and crops were transpired from soil. It absorbs water to meet the needs of normal physiological activities. Dry and wet areas are irrigated alternately. After alternate stress, secondary roots increased greatly, water absorption and fertilizer absorption capacity of roots increased, and water use efficiency increased significantly.
The technology is replaced by Alternating Furrow irrigation system and alternating irrigation system in practice.
